Five years after a major bank closed its branch in Brigg it is now looking to make a temporary return to the town, using a suitable "indoor venue."
Offering to host a "community pop up event" in Brigg, HSBC has contacted the Town Council.
This bank shut its Market Place premises and cashpoint machine in June 2017.
But an HSBC manager, based in Scunthorpe, has now told the authority he is "reaching out to our local communities."
He explained: "Our community pop up events are a great way to learn about how to make the most of banking with HSBC, and customers can have face-to-face conversations with some of our branch experts."
HSBC community pop up events offer:
- Information about the bank's products and services
- Online and mobile banking registrations and resets
- Education on digital banking
- Education on how to reduce he risk of fraud
- Education on access to banking services
- Education on Post Office services.
HSBC was the first national bank to close its Brigg outlet.
NatWest was the next to go - in June 2018.
Also with Market Place premises, Barclays followed suit in January this year.
Lloyds, on Wrawby Street, is now the only high street bank still operating from premises in Brigg.
