BRIGG MP PRAISED FOR HELPING PEOPLE IN UKRAINE

Brigg Town Council has thanked local MP Andrew Percy for an initiative which is helping people in Ukraine.
At its latest meeting held in the Angel building, the authority decided to express its appreciation in a letter to Brigg & Goole's representative in Parliament.
The MP is a key figure in a scheme to convert ex-British Army vehicles into military-grade ambulances. View details of the initiative here...
Coun Penny Smith told the Town Council meeting that a great many people were thinking very highly of Andrew Percy.
Her comment came after Coun Rob Waltham said more than 100 evacuees from Ukraine had now been resettled across North Lincolnshire.
Andrew Percy noted on social media and his website: "In just a few weeks we have gone from a simple request asking if we could help get ambulances to securing the funding, getting the ex-military vehicles purchased, working on the prototypes for conversions, to getting them on the production line, sorting the export licences at pace and now getting them on their way to Ukraine."
