LOVE BRIGG AND POP UP MARKETS TO ENJOY PLUS MUSICAL EVENTS & CAR RALLY


Markets, events featuring music, and a car rally are all coming up in Brigg and district this weekend.
Tonight (Friday, May 13) will see a music-based Brigg Live Arts function in the Cafe Courtyard on the ground floor of the Angel building adjoining the Market Place.
This ticket-only event features Brassy Sharman's Band and the Folklincs Band. It starts at 7pm and includes a Spanish supper. For details and last-minute ticket inquiries, call 07706 087340.
Market Place venue the Woolpack tells us it will be offering a disco & karaoke tonight.
Brigg & District Servicemen's Club, on Coney Court, is the venue for a Mind Body & Spirit Fayre on Saturday from 10am to 4pm, organised by Moondance. Admission costs £2 (under-16s free). For details, call 07925 834926.
There will be a Love Brigg Arts & Crafts Market on Saturday (May 14) in the Market Place, with many stalls operating from 8.30am into the afternoon. This will take place alongside the traditional market offering fruit & veg, flowers and fish.
Saturday night will see Emma Ramsden - a singer who is well-known in Brigg - performing at the Woolpack from 9pm. Admission to her gig is free - all welcome. Emma is pictured above (top right).
Elsewhere within the town centre on Saturday evening, there will be a disco & karaoke at the Dying Gladiator, on Bigby Street, with disco music on offer at the Black Bull and the Britannia Inn (both on Wrawby Street).
Paper Kite, a duo, will be performing "music from across the eras" at Broughton Working Men's Club on Saturday night.
Hibaldstow Village Hall, on Station Road, will be the venue for a Pop Up Market on Sunday afternoon (May 15) from 10am to 2pm.
Elsham Hall will be the starting point for Border Motor Club's Classic Rally 2022 on Sunday. The first car will leave at 11.01am on a 95-mile route through scenic countryside. All vehicles taking part were made during the previous millennium.

The Black Bull has now started holding regular Wednesday quiz nights - the first (held earlier this week) proving successful.  The next will be on May 25.
