IN BRIGG THIS WEEKEND: MARKETS, MUSIC, POP-UP PIZZA & FOODBANK BBQ

The monthly Brigg Farmers' Market this Saturday will be followed in the evening by free-to-enjoy music at various local licensed premises.
The weekend will make an early start tonight (Friday, May 27) when the Yarborough Hunt, on Bridge Street, will be hosting another of its periodic pop-up pizza nights. Visiting vendor Angelo will have food available for customers to order from 5pm through to 8.30pm.
Market Place venue the Woolpack informs us it will be hosting a karaoke & disco from 8pm on Friday.
A sizeable attendance is anticipated for the May 2022 Brigg Farmers' Market tomorrow (Saturday, May 28) from 8.30am into the afternoon.
Producers will be selling a wide range of goods including bread, cakes, cheese, jam, sauces and beer.
Also on offer at the traditional Saturday market located near the Buttercross will be fruit & veg, flowers and fish.
Saturday shoppers can enjoy free car parking close to Brigg town centre, courtesy of North Lincolnshire Council which organises local markets.
Brigg Heritage Centre, located in the town centre's Angel building, will have a children's craft event with a jubilee theme on Saturday to accompany the markets, from 10am to 2pm.
The Lord Nelson in Brigg will have live music from Tallulah on Saturday night (May 28). She will be performing hits from the 1960s through to the present era. Admission to this gig is free.
There's also no charge to enjoy Chapter 2 at the Woolpack on Saturday night from 9pm. The indie/rock group plays well-known hits by The Undertones, Oasis, Stone Roses, Squeeze, The Jam and many others.
There will be a disco & karaoke tonight at the Dying Gladiator on Bigby Street, with music playing at the Black Bull and the Britannia Inn (both Wrawby Street). The Britannia will be hosting a barbecue on Saturday night, from 7pm, in aid of the Brigg Food Bank. Everyone is welcome.
Female vocalist Kerry M will be performing at Broughton Working Men's Club on Saturday evening (May 28).
Brigg people can already celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by raising a glass or two of patriotic Platinum Pride to Her Majesty at the Lord Nelson.  This real ale has been specially produced by the hotel's owner and operator the Snaith-based Old Mill Brewery, which says this beer has "hints of honey sweetness."
Pet owners in the Brigg area may well be interested in visiting the new Sit Dog Cafe at 68 High Street, Messingham, DN17 3NT.
The venue describes itself as "designed by dog lovers for dogs" and says "humans are permitted as long as they behave."
There is a full 'doggie menu' available. Email hello@sitdogcafe.co.uk
