POLICE PATROLLING CRIME 'HOT SPOT' AREAS IN BRIGG

Latest monthly crime figures for Brigg have just been released through www.police.uk
They show the number of offences, in various categories, recorded by Humberside Police throughout March 2022.
Over the 31 days there were 59 crimes logged.
Sixteen of these took place in the town centre, nine on Newlands and eight on the Springbank estate.
To put the March figures into context, here are the totals for recent months: February 57, January 57, December 37, November 65, October 49.
A Brigg & Wolds Neighbourhood Policing Team report for April reveals that officers seized two motorcycles that were being ridden illegally, and located and recovered a stolen vehicle in the town.
Officers patrolled a number of 'hotspot' areas and conducted patrols in various parts of Brigg, including the Recreation Ground and Atherton Way.
During May the Neighbourhood Team's plans include continuing to patrol 'hotspot' areas, and dealing with anti-social behaviour as part of an initiative called #yousaidwedid
Officers "will be continuing to build an evidential picture around drug cultivation and drug dealing in the Brigg & Wolds and Broughton & Appleby Wards with plans to continue disruption within the locality."
There will be police surgeries at Broughton Village Hall on Tuesday, May 17 from 9am to 11am during a coffee morning, and another in Brigg Market Place on Monday, May 23 from 3pm to 4pm.
Members of the public can meet and talk with local officers at these events.
