There's a very busy and varied weekend of musical entertainment coming up in Brigg and district this weekend... and some comedy fun, too.
The programme begins tonight (Friday, May 6) with Darren Busby and Dave Leslie at Brigg & District Serviceman’s Club, Coney Court, for a District Lions Club country music night, from 7.30pm. Tickets cost £6.50p and can be obtained by emailing briggdistrictlionsclub@gmail.com or calling 07725 021725.
Almost Pink - a well-known tribute act - will be getting the party started at the Servicemen's venue on Saturday night from 8.30pm.
Admission to enjoy her performance costs £5. Please note that tickets need to be obtained in advance; no entry will be offered on the door on the night. There will be an accompanying disco.
Brigg Town Football Club's licensed Hawthorns venue has well-known local Britpop & alternative rock band The Dirty Pitchers taking to the stage on Saturday night. Admission to enjoy the performance from 8.30pm is free.
Disco & karaoke will be on offer at the Dying Gladiator, Bigby Street, on Saturday night, with music for visitors to the Black Bull and the Britannia Inn (both on Wrawby Street).
The Woolpack, in the Market Place, has comedy vocalist Craig Williams - "from ITV's Benidorm" - performing tonight (Friday) from 9pm. Admission free.
Cardee, a vocals/guitar duo, will be providing songs for regulars at Broughton's Red Lion on Saturday evening, while singer Jackie Jane will be at the town's Workingmen's Club, offering hit songs from the 1950s through to the 1980s.
