A major Brigg store and a well-known bakery have been rated for food hygiene by North Lincolnshire Council, as have other premises in and near the town.
The local authority carries out routine inspections and awards star gradings, as part of a national scheme.
Lidl, on Atherton Way, received the maximum five stars - being rated 'very good' for food hygiene.
The top grading, five stars, also went to Dunhams Bakery, on Bridge Street.
For Heavens Cake, a business based in Brigg which often features at town markets, also gained five stars, as did the One Stop Store, Atkinson Avenue.
The Barnetby Central Bowls Club Pavilion, on Silver Street in the village, also received five stars.
When making inspections, the council looks at Food Hygiene and Safety, Structural Compliance and considers "Confidence in Management."
The 'Scores on the Doors' findings of local inspections are published periodically through the Food Standards Agency.
Businesses receive distinctive printed stickers showing the number of stars, which may be displayed on or near their entrances.
