A Brigg pub has come up with a great way to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and will be in tune with the mood of the nation.
The Black Bull, on Wrawby Street, will host live music in its sizeable rear beer garden to mark various decades of Her Majesty's 70-year reign.
This five-day programme, involving different vocalists, is as follows:
Thursday, June 2: Back to the 1960s, with Jade Wright, 2pm to 4pm.
Friday, June 3: A trip through the 1970s, with Kara Jowett, 2pm to 4pm.
Saturday, June 4: We love the 1980s, with Shane Peckover, 8pm to 10pm.
Sunday, June 5: All the 1990s hits & more, with a Shania Twain tribute, 8pm to 10pm. We are sure she will impress us, much!
Monday, June 6: Noughties nostalgia, with Brad Mack, 8pm to 10pm.
The beer garden's use by these singers will depend on the weather.
"Celebrate Jubilee Week with us," the venue suggests.
Admission is free to all the gigs - everyone welcome.
Having opened in 1820 while King George IV was on the throne, the Black Bull will have marked Jubilees for Queen Victoria in 1887 and 1897, George V (1935), Queen Elizabeth II's Silver in 1977 (when she visited Brigg Recreation Ground to watch a pageant), Ruby in 1992, Golden in 2002 and Diamond in 2012.
