DON'T BE CAUGHT OUT BY AMENDED BIN COLLECTIONS IN BRIGG & BROUGHTON THIS WEEK

North Lincolnshire Council has amended its bin collection arrangements in Brigg this week.
Town households which normally receive a Tuesday collection should take note the crews will be calling tomorrow - MONDAY, MAY 30 - "pulled forward" from from the following day (31st).
Broughton bins and kerbside recycling boxes will be emptied on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1.

This is necessary because of the forthcoming "extended weekend."
Monday will see the emptying of general waste wheelie bins, blue kerbside boxes (containing paper) and green boxes (cans, glass & aluminium foil).
The council realises the run up to bank holidays can take people by surprise in respect of bin collection arrangements.
So Brigg Blog is posting this reminder today, with apologies to those householders who were already aware of the switch.
Unusually. and because of Her Majesty The Queen's 70th anniversary celebrations, there are public holidays in the UK on Thursday, June 2 and Friday, June 3. Jubilee events will then continue on Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5.
Normal collections resume next week, with Brigg households getting their bins emptied on TUESDAY, JUNE 7.
Crews will be emptying the brown (garden waste) and burgundy (plastic and cardboard) bins.
