Properties in Brigg town centre continue to be snapped up by new owners or tenants, and hopefully more will follow in the near future.
The former chapel and carpet showroom/warehouse on Bridge Street, near Manley Gardens, was recently "sold post auction."
Pugh & Co was joint agent with local firm Clark Weightman, with auction bidding being welcomed on April 26.
Auction details suggested this building would be suitable for various other uses and/or redevelopment, subject to the necessary planning consents.
A 'Sold' board has now been installed (pictured below over the weekend).
Elsewhere on Bridge Street, a town house close to the White Hart pub has been sold through DDM Residential. Refurbishment work continues on the hostelry.
On the other side of the County Bridge in the Market Place, there are four properties available to rent/let:
- The former offices of property & land agents Brown & Co which recently relocated to the North Bank
- The retail premises occupied by the Kennedi Boutique until it switched to Wrawby Street
- A former betting office/shop, closed by Ladbrokes
- The ex-Molly's Flowers shop adjacent to the Coney Court archway (Molly's having switched to a home-based workshop two years ago).
Barclays bank having shut its Brigg branch in January 2022, so far there is no sign of these ground floor premises on the corner of Cary Lane being placed on the property market.
On the opposite side of the Market Place, work continues to convert the long-closed former HSBC bank premises into The Vault bar and restaurant.
Planning approval is currently being sought from North Lincolnshire Council to make internal alterations as part of this welcome project.
