A well-known Brigg company's 'green' plans have been welcomed by the Town Council.
Door panel specialist Rocal Ltd is seeking approval for roof-mounted, south-facing solar panels at its premises on Atherton Way, Ancholme Business Park.
Consulted about the proposal, Brigg Town Council's Planning & Environment Committee said it supported this application "due to the positive environmental impact this will have."
North Lincolnshire Council will now decide if the firm needs to submit a formal planning application.
If the unitary authority rules this is not required, the company's proposal can proceed.
During its latest meeting in the Angel Suite Lounge, the Town Council's committee discussed three other applications.
It supported an amended scheme to build 16 dwellings on the former Brigg Resource Centre site, off Horstead Avenue - being very pleased to see
additional hedging included.
Those views have been passed to North Lincolnshire Council which will decide the application in due course.
However, the Town Council is objecting to an amended scheme to erect eight industrial units with associated parking and landscaping on land to the north of Atherton Way "as there is a reduction in parking to the original plan."
North Lincolnshire planners will now rule on this application.
