Many people have enjoyed attending mid-May's Brigg Beer Festival over many years - this having become a highlight of the town's social calendar since the first was held in 1990.
Brigg District Lions Club has been unable to stage any further festivals since the declaration of the Coronavirus emergency.
This month (May 2022) there has been no opportunity to hand in tokens and raise a glass or three filled from barrels of tasty real ale brewed across the UK.
But many of us are hoping things will be able to resume next Spring at a suitable venue.
Festival-goers should appreciate the hard work put in by the club, its volunteer glass-fillers and organising team.
The first beer fest was hosted in a room temporarily reopened at the Angel Hotel following its closure as a hostelry and prior to its conversion to office use by Glanford Borough Council.
A large unit at John Reid Transport, off Atherton Way, became the venue for many years, with later festivals being held in the Barns behind the Nelthorpe Arms, off Bridge Street, and then at Brigg & District Servicemen's Club.
The club venue, on Coney Court, staged the last to be held.
The 29th festival opened on Thursday, May 16, 2019 and called time on Saturday evening, May 18.
