CONGRATULATIONS TO TROPHY-WINNING BRIGG FOOTBALLERS

Another title has been secured by Brigg Town Football Club - right at the end of the 2021/22 season.
The club's Veterans have won the Hull & District League Division Four championship.
They would like to have wrapped up the honour on the field of play with victory in a home game at the EC Surfacing Stadium this Sunday (May 15).
However, team-raising issues mean fourth-placed Withernsea, from the North Bank, have conceded the points and will not be making the lengthy trek to the former Hawthorns.
Brigg have won all their league games this season with the exception of two draws and a solitary defeat.
Will Hartley has managed 12 goals for the free-scoring team, with Dave Betts netting 10.
Details of the league trophy presentation are awaited with interest - perhaps next month. Meanwhile, we expect a celebration to be held in the Hawthorns bar tomorrow night (Saturday)!
