LATE SEASON GAME AHEAD FOR BRIGG FOOTBALLERS AFTER LOCAL CRICKET SIDES SUFFER DEFEATS


One of Brigg Town Football Club's teams has a local derby coming up tomorrow night (Tuesday, May 10) following two local cricket teams suffering defeats yesterday (Sunday).
Brigg Town Development will be visiting Barton Town Old Boys Reserves in the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League Premier.
The Development team will then have only one game to go to complete its 2021/22 programme.
Yesterday saw Broughton Cricket Club beaten in the National Village Cup second round by a side from the North Bank.
Middleton & North Dalton made 194 for eight, with Broughton being bowled out for 155 in reply. Robbie Ward had a good all-round game, taking two for 31 and later scoring 32 with the bat.
In Mick Walker North Lindsey League Division Two yesterday, Hibaldstow lost by 98 runs to Normanby Park.
Replying to Park's 222 for nine, Hibaldstow were dismissed for 124. Tom Taylor had a decent all-round day, taking three for 17 and scoring 23, while Lee Robinson hit 29.
