MAJOR BRIGG ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT UNDERWAY

A major road improvement project on the A18 in Brigg is now underway and expected to take four weeks to complete.
Resurfacing along Bridge Street, adding a new pedestrian crossing and cycle lane provision is being carried out for North Lincolnshire Council.
On Day One there were initial delays yesterday (Tuesday, May 3) with some buses in Brigg reported to be running late.
This was noted by one company in a social media post informing local passengers.
Some motorists also commented about hold-ups.
However, traffic was flowing freely when we took these pictures early yesterday afternoon. The project includes provision for night working.
This was stressed at the latest Brigg Town Council meeting - attended by representatives of the North Lincolnshire authority which is responsible for local highways.
