LATE GOAL PROVES DECISIVE FOR BRIGG TOWN FOOTBALLERS

Brigg Town Football Club recorded another welcome home win in Toolstation Northern Counties East Division One yesterday (Saturday, February 12).
The Zebras beat Rossington Main 2-1 at the EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns).
Jack Richardson having put Brigg ahead midway through the first half, the Yorkshire side levelled soon after half-time and it took a late goal from top scorer Scott Phillips to earn the home team another three points in the push from promotion.
As Hallam and North Ferriby both won, Brigg Town remain third in the table with the top team gaining automatic promotion at the end of the season and the next four taking part in play-offs to decide who else goes up to the Premier for the 2022/2023 season.
The 208 crowd yesterday was a bit lower than some may have expected due to the wet, cold and windy weather which put off some spectators from attending.
Among those who did make it through the turnstiles and into the Dom Avison Stand was Simon Fisher, who has kindly provided the match pictures seen above - Brigg being in their familiar black & white kit against fifth-place Rossington.
Brigg Town Development lost 3-2 at Nettleham yesterday in the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League Premier.
