BRIGG & WOLDS: NEW BUSINESS UNIT ADDED IN THE TOWN & NEARBY VILLAGE PROPERTY PLANS APPROVED

New homes have been approved in North Lincolnshire Council's Brigg & Wolds Ward.
Meanwhile, a welcome addition has been made to Brigg's largest industrial and business park.
North Lincolnshire Council's Planning Committee has granted outline permission to erect four detached dwellings (with appearance, landscaping and access reserved for subsequent consideration) at Elsham House, Brigg Road, Wrawby.
A new light industrial unit has been erected at 2 Atherton Way, Brigg (pictured above).
Almost a year ago the council gave local company Jonro Properties Ltd permission to demolish an existing structure, built in the late 1960s, and install a replacement.
This site is almost opposite the Lidl store and close to the Donkey Field children's play park.
Recommending permission should be granted for the new structure, a council delegated assessment report said: "The proposal takes on a typical appearance of a modern-day light industrial unit which is clad in sheet metal, with the office finished in a red facing brick."
We hope to report commercial use of this new unit in due course.
In adjoining Ridge Ward, planning permission has been given for a rear extension to the existing dwelling and to render external walls/facings at 43 Messingham Lane, Scawby.
Approval has also been given to erect a single-storey rear extension at 21 Lidgett Close, Scawby.
Permission has been granted to construct kitchen and porch single-storey extensions and a dormer to the front roof slope at Pear Tree Lodge, Main Street, Howsham.

West Lindsey District Council is now considering an amended outline planning application submitted for three dwellings, including demolition of existing commercial buildings,  on land adjacent to Little London Farm, Little London, North Kelsey.
Agent for the applicant is Brown & Co, Market Place, Brigg. The council has yet to decide this application and a public consultation period is now under way.
