The colourful clockfaces high above Brigg's landmark Buttercross have now been confirmed as permanent after-dark additions - something we are sure many people will be pleased to see.
The plain white backgrounds looking towards Wrawby Street and the Market Place were altered late last year to pink and blue, ahead of the Christmas lights switch-on evening.
Brigg's festive illuminations were taken down several weeks ago but the colourful hues remained on the Buttercross's timepiece.
The 200+ year-old Buttercross being a council-run building, Brigg Blog has just run a check with one of the leading lights and been informed that the colourful clockfaces are here to stay.
Meanwhile, we also have it on good authority that the next projected lighting display on the front of the Buttercross building will be to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in June.
Remembrance poppies were the first images shown late last year, followed by snowflakes for the festive period and latterly a flame to commemorate Holocaust Day.
As the hours of darkness are now reducing as Spring approaches, the length of time during which projected images can been seen is getting shorter.
Therefore, with the exception of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, it is likely to be later in the year before the front of the Buttercross receives any further projected displays.
There have been many favourable comments from the public about the colourful clockfaces and the projected lighting - the latter being introduced as a Brigg Town Council project.
Below are a couple of after-dark pictures to remind Brigg Blog's followers how the plain clockfaces used to look after dark.
