BRIGG REMEMBERS DOM AVISON WITH SPECIAL EVENT THIS WEEKEND

The Dom Avison Stand at Brigg Town Football Club's Hawthorns ground

A Brigg sports club legend will be remembered on a special day this weekend dedicated to him. There will be indoor games, food and music.
Dominic 'Dom' Avison was a familiar face off the field at Brigg Town Football Club until his death early last year.
Brigg Town FC will be holding a Remembering Dom Day at the Hawthorns clubhouse this Saturday (March 23) from 3pm.
Activities will include flyers for pool, darts and dominoes - registration from 3pm, games start 4pm.
A Thai buffet will be served from 6pm to 8.30pm, and there will be a £1-a-ticket raffle with excellent prizes, to be drawn on the day. Tickets for the food cost £6 and will be on sale at the Hawthorns bar up to Thursday (March 21). There will be a disco from 9pm until late.
Organisers of the Remembering Dom Day refer to him as a Brigg legend and say they welcome everyone to join them on Saturday, from 3pm.
Dom was the director/manager overseeing the bar at the ground. He died in February 2018, aged 43. His funeral took place on March 23 last year.
Brigg Town FC has since dedicated the Dom Avison Stand, adjoining the clubhouse, as a tribute to his contribution to the club.
