BRIGG MARKETS CANCELLED DUE TO FORECAST BAD WEATHER

Indie Market coming up in Brigg on Saturday, February 19, 2022


The markets due to be held in Brigg tomorrow (Thursday, February 17, 2022) and on Saturday (February 19) have been cancelled.

Coun Rob Waltham (Brigg & Wolds Ward), the Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, informed Brigg Blog this afternoon that both markets were off, on safety grounds, due to forecast bad weather and increasing wind speeds. Some traders had already cancelled.

The first Brigg Totally Locally Indie Market of the year was due to be held on Saturday, alongside the stalls forming the general market.

The Met Office has issued weather warnings not only about Storm Dudley but also Storm Eunice, bringing strong winds for much of the UK, with the potential for some snow later in the week across parts of Northern Ireland, northern England and southern Scotland. Read the full forecast here...

3.15pm UPDATE: We've been informed that Barry Chilvers Fruit & Veg stall will be re-locating to the former Molly Flowers shop in the Market Place on both Thursday & Saturday.

Brigg Town Football Club's scheduled home game against Retford FC tonight (Wednesday, February 16) is OFF due to  waterlogged conditions, the club has informed us.
