Many people in Brigg have been caught outdoors during heavy showers which have been frequent over the past couple of weeks with Storm Dudley, Storm Eunice and Storm Franklin following each other.
Earlier this week we had to seek cover in the town centre soon after taking these late afternoon pictures of a rainbow, viewed from the Market Place. The heavens had opened by the time we reached Cross Street.
A forecast from the Met Office issued yesterday afternoon (Thursday) says: "The rather unsettled weather pattern will continue over the next four or five days, especially in the northwest, although conditions are not expected to be as severe as during the past week." View full details here...
So as we near the end of the month, the old description 'February Fill Dyke' has proved to be correct.
It will be no surprise to see more Brigg rainbows in the near future.
