TABLE-TOPPING BRIGG TOWN FOOTBALLERS MANAGE TO PLAY & WIN

The Brigg Town Football Club Veterans managed a fine away win in the Hull League on Sunday, February 20, 2022

Brigg Town Veterans managed to play and win yesterday (Sunday, February 20) when most other football matches were called off because of wet conditions following the recent storms.
The Zebras, who lead Hull & District Veterans League Division Four, visited Beverley, on the North Bank, and defeated Molescroft Rangers A 3-0. The goals came from Dan Greaves, Dave Betts and Ben Chrost.
In the Paul Fox Scunthorpe Sunday League yesterday, the cup semi-finals involving Broughton Workingmen's Club and Barnetby United were both postponed and will be re-arranged.
The only tie that went ahead was at Hibaldstow, where FC Recoveries beat Ulceby B 5-1 to secure a place in the final of the McGowan Shield.
Seven other ties, in four knockout competitions, had to be called off.
Brigg Blog's thanks go to Barnetby's Lee Fielden for the Fox League update.
Barnetby's Ireson Cup semi-final visit to Blyborough, in West Lindsey, now looks like taking place this Sunday (February 27) as long as the weather permits.
