North Lincolnshire Council continues to carry out routine food hygiene inspections across its district and recently rated premises in Brigg, Barnetby and Hibaldstow.
A grading scheme operates in conjunction with the Food Standards Agency (FSA) and includes shops selling food, takeaways, cafes, pub/restaurants, hotels/B&Bs, catering provided on educational premises, and mobile caterers.
The maximum FIVE STARS have been awarded to the following after recent inspections - all of them being rated 'Very Good' for food hygiene:
Exchange Hotel, Bigby Street, Brigg.
One Stop Shop, 24 Victoria Road, Barnetby.
Rookery Farm Guest House, Railway Street, Barnetby.
Hibaldstow Academy by Dolce Ltd, Hibaldstow Academy, Hopfield, Hibaldstow.
In the 'Scores on the Doors' scheme, premises are rated in three sections - food hygiene & safety, structural compliance, and 'confidence in management.'
Businesses graded by the council receive green stickers showing the number of stars awarded. These notices are often displayed on entry doors or adjoining windows to inform the public.
Neighbouring West Lindsey District Council also takes part in the same scheme.
