NEW GRANTS AVAILABLE TO BRIGG BUSINESSES WANTING TO REFURBISH & EXTEND

Businesses in Brigg and district - including eateries, licensed premises and visitor attractions - can now apply for new funding from the Government to help with a range of projects including refurbishment, building extensions and creating outdoor seating areas.
There is a £250,000 grants pot, which has been welcomed by the Brigg Town Business Partnership and by Coun Rob Waltham (Brigg & Wolds Ward), the Leader of North Lincolnshire, whose authority has revealed full details about the cash boost for hospitality businesses in the district...


FROM NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL

Hundreds of businesses - including pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, B&Bs and visitor attractions - which employ thousands of people can now benefit from a pot of Government cash to help them recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Grants from the £250,000 pot are available for building works to attract old and new customers; business can use the funding to develop outdoor seating areas, refurbish existing premises or extend the premises to create new spaces – ultimately creating new jobs.
Cllr Rob Waltham (pictured above), leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said: "We've worked with the Government to support businesses with renewal and recovery following the Covid-19 pandemic and the North Lincolnshire Hospitality Fund is another strand of that support to provide much-needed help.
“This funding is designed to create jobs in the hospitality and visitor economy sectors. The Government is backing business to bounce back and we're pleased to be able to support the many fantastic pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and visitor attractions in accessing some extra cash to help their recovery along.
“Many businesses have had to adapt quickly during the pandemic, and this funding will support them immediately but also create a more sustainable future.”
