BRIGG TALK ABOUT HISTORY OF SCAWBY HALL & VICTORIAN KITCHEN GARDEN

Brigg and District Gardening Club is pleased to announce a restart of meetings.
The next will be held on Thursday (November 4) at 7.30pm in the Methodist Church Hall (pictured) near the A18 - Barnard Avenue - and Wesley Road.
The speaker will be Kristin Sutton Nelthorpe, from Scawby Hall, who will talk about the history of the hall and the Victorian kitchen garden. Entry is free for members, £4 for guests.
"We look forward to welcoming everyone back," the club says.
For more information, contact the club secretary on 07545 781013.
Scawby Hall, part of which is pictured above, is a grade one listed Jacobean manor house dating back to the early 17th century, and home to the Nelthorpes ever since.
While on the Nelthorpe theme, Brigg Town Council has nominated Coun Jane Gibbons (pictured below) to be its representative on the Sir John Nelthorpe School Foundation, which supports the school and its pupils.
