'OUTDOOR GYM' EQUIPMENT WILL BE COMING TO TWO SITES IN BRIGG

New outdoor leisure equipment will be coming to two locations in Brigg.
North Lincolnshire Council (NLC) has approved an application for assistance submitted by Brigg Town Council.
The unitary authority agreed £11,298 to help with the purchase and installation; indicating this represents 58 per cent of the total cost of the project.
The free-to-use equipment is expected to be sited on the Millennium Green, off Elwes Street, and close to the riverside path which runs between the County Bridge and the Ancholme Way Bridge.
We hope to confirm the type of equipment to be installed, and also an approximate timescale.
A North Lincolnshire Council officer's report recommended approval of a grant, subject to a condition that a "final licence for land with NLC is approved."
The unitary authority has a pot of cash available to groups "with social aims to deliver community sport, arts or heritage capital projects."
A £360 grant has also been approved for Cadney Community Gardeners, to assist with the cost of a new tool shed.
