MIXED FORTUNES FOR BRIGG AREA SUNDAY FOOTBALL TEAMS

There were mixed fortunes for Brigg & district Sunday football sides at the weekend.
In the Paul Fox Scunthorpe Sunday League, Brigg pub team Black Bull had their schedule game away to Crosby postponed in Division Three. They were to have met at the Foxhills ground in Scunthorpe.
In the Lincolnshire FA Sunday Cup on November 7, Broughton Working Men's Club won 2-1 at home to Broadley (Grimsby), Barnetby United lost 1-0 when hosting Friendship, while Hibaldstow went down 5-3 at home to Seven Seas (Grimsby).
Congratulations to Broughton on making it through to the third round.
Our thanks to go Barnetby's Lee Fielden for supplying the scores.

The EC Surfacing Scunthorpe & District League, which is sponsored by a Brigg company, has asked us to publicise the following. This competition operates on Saturdays and its member clubs include Barnetby United and Briggensians (both having two teams).
The league is looking for people to fill a number of voluntary positions on the committee, with a possibility of taking over the roles when they become vacant: Senior vice-president, assistant general secretary, assistant fixture secretary, assistant registrar. Please contact Ray Hewson on 07751 116098 of email raymondhewson@outlook.com to discuss.
