WELL-KNOWN BRIGG GUEST HOUSE SEEKING LISTED BUILDING CONSENT FOR REPLACEMENT WORK

Property improvement schemes in and near Brigg are now awaiting decisions from North Lincolnshire Council.
Listed building consent to replace two sash windows is being sought for the well-known Albert House guest house on Bigby Street, Brigg.
This has grade two listed status, is within the Brigg Conservation Area and is described as being Victorian in age.
Information submitted to the council with the application says a local joinery firm has been instructed to carry out this work.
"The windows will be made up as they were in 1857," the statement stresses. "They will be exact replicas inside and out."
The applicant says she feels very passionate about keeping Albert House in its original format.
The current windows outlined in the applications are considered to be life expired.
Meanwhile, planning permission is being requested to convert and extend an existing outbuilding into an annexe at Fox Farm, Cadney Road, Howsham.
Permission has been applied for to erect a new detached dwelling and associated works (including demolition of existing stables) at West Street Stables, West Street, Hibaldstow.
Approval is being sought to erect a two-storey extension at The Poplars, Burnside, Broughton.
Following public consultation periods, the council will decide these applications in due course.
And finally, while on the planning topic, a reminder that there's a North Lincolnshire Council public consultation session about the proposed new Local Plan blueprint for future development. The 'roadshow' is being held today (Tuesday, November 9) from 2.45pm to 7.15pm in the Angel Suite, off Exchange Place, Brigg. Everyone is welcome - just turn up to see what's being planned and talk to helpful officials who will be on hand to offer advice.
