Brigg Town Football Club will be looking to get back to winning ways in the league this Saturday (November 6).
Having lost a couple of recent league games, the promotion-chasing Zebras, who are still highly placed in ToolStation Northern Counties East Division One, will host fourth-from-bottom Swallownest at the EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns).
Kick-off time is 3pm, and Pips Kitchen and the Hawthorns clubhouse bar will be open to provide hungry and thirsty spectators with refreshments.
Swallownest is near Sheffield, in case you were wondering.
It remains to be seen whether some of the South Yorkshire club's supporters decide to use the Saturdays-only passenger service from the steel city to Brigg to watch the match.
Briggensians will be hosting Fulbeck United in the Lincolnshire Junior Cup third round at Brigg Recreation Ground on Saturday (1.30pm).
With the EC Surfacing Stadium being used by the first team, Brigg Town Development will be playing their home tie against Scotter United in the same competition at Scawby playing field (1.30pm).
Barnetby United will visit Manor Park for a Johnsons Transport Hospital Cup Group B game (2pm).
Barnetby Reserves have a home match against New Holland Villa at the Silver Street ground in Division Two of the EC Surfacing Scunthorpe and District League.
Briggensians Reserves are without a fixture in Division Three.
Brigg Hockey Club, which has a range of men's and ladies' teams, will play home games on the Rec's all-weather pitch on Saturday starting at 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm.
The Brigg men's first team will be clocking up some mileage... they have an away game coming up against Newcastle University! Also playing in this league from the far north-east are Whitley Bay Tynemouth, Durham University and Stockton. Only Lindum (Lincoln) is within comfortable travelling distance for Brigg.
On Sunday (November 7) in the Paul Fox Scunthorpe Football League, Brigg team Black Bull is scheduled to visit Crosby for a Division Three fixture.
