There's live music, a disco and karaoke on offer at various venues in Brigg this weekend. Among those performing will be popular local band The Dirty Pitchers.
Folk artist John Blek will be at the Steel Rooms tonight (Friday, November 12). Tickets cost £15. Call at the venue's shop on the corner on the Market Place and Springs Parade or call 01652 657256. Doors open at 7pm.
The Dirty Pitchers - a Britpop and alternative rock band with local members - will be appearing at Brigg Town Football Club's Hawthorns clubhouse on Saturday (November 13) from 8pm. Tickets are NOT required and admission is free, but our advice is to get there early to ensure a seat in the concert room.
Singer Vincent will be on stage at Brigg & District Servicemen's Club on Saturday, from 8.30pm. "Free admission - everyone welcome," says the Coney Court venue.
Jo Jo - a singer offering pop, rock, soul and Motown hits - will be entertaining at the Woolpack, Market Place, Brigg, on Saturday, from 9pm. Free admission - all welcome. Jo Jo is pictured above.
The Dying Gladiator, on Bigby Street, will be offering a free-to-enjoy disco & karaoke on Saturday, from 9pm, with the dance floor available to all comers.
Last Sunday (November 7) saw Brigg Servicemen's Club running an enjoyable coach trip for members (and others) to Birmingham city centre for a spot of pre-Christmas shopping. Early that same morning, more than a dozen people were queuing on Wrawby Street, outside the entrance to Wetherspoon's White Horse pub/restaurant, awaiting it opening for breakfast service. We think they may have been local match anglers.

Another event of interest this weekend is the next Love Brigg Arts Crafts & Antiques Market on Saturday, November 13, alongside the usual general market.
