BRIGG CHRISTMAS LIGHTS ALL SET FOR TONIGHT'S SWITCH-ON & SANTA WILL BE IN TOWN

Brigg will be switching on its town centre Christmas lights at 6pm tonight (Thursday, November 25) with festive fair market stalls open from 4pm to 8pm and shops staying open late into the evening.
These pictures show some of the displays already in place but not yet illuminated, plus the Christmas tree in the Market Place.
The lights will stretch from East Park (near the Monument roundabout), through the town centre and along Bridge Street as far as its junction with the A18 near the Yarborough Hunt pub.
More displays have been added this year by Brigg Town Council, which organises and funds the festive illuminations.

Santa will be calling at Brigg Heritage Centre, in the Angel building, from 4pm to 7pm tonight. An audience with him costs £6.50p. He will be making a return visit on December 18 (Brigg Farmers' Market Saturday).

Local people are reminded there's a handy walk-in centre operating in the town centre today, from 2pm to 8pm, where they can get inoculated against the Coronavirus, including booster injections. The place to go to request your jab is the Buttercross, in the Market Place (pictured below behind the tree). Read more about the special session here...
