Here's an update on Brigg & district sport and also music which people can enjoy on local licensed premises this weekend.
In earlier posts we previewed the Saturday football scene today (Saturday) and mentioned some venues offering live music shows.
The Dying Gladiator pub, on Bigby Street, has since informed us that Disco Dave will be providing music for the disco/karaoke session tonight (Saturday) from 9pm, with free admission.
Singer Jacqui will be performing at Broughton Workingmen's Club, on the High Street. tonight (Saturday).
Tomorrow (Sunday, November 7) a number of local teams will be in cup action.
In the second round of the Lincolnshire FA Sunday Cup, Barnetby United host Friendship at the railway village's Silver Street ground; Hibaldstow are at home to Seven Seas; Broughton WMC have a home tie against Broadley (Grimsby).
In addition, Brigg team Black Bull journey to Crosby for a Division Three game in the Paul Fox Scunthorpe League. We are now informed this match will be played at the Foxhills venue, off Ferry Road, Scunthorpe, kicking off at 10.30am.
