Brigg Blog has been asked to inform our followers that today (Thursday, November 18) is World Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day.
There is a very active local group which raises funds for, and awareness of, this potentially fatal condition, which is described as "the world's toughest cancer."
The interesting 'framed' picture above shows group members Lesley Whitehead (left) and Zoe Hall in the town centre's Bandstand, wearing purple attire - this being the colour associated with Pancreatic Cancer Action.

November 2021 has been designated Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.
