The results of Lockdown 2 will be evident across Brigg this weekend. It's bound to be a quiet one.
The government has ordered shops classified as non-essential to shut for the next month, together with all licensed premises. A ban on local football matches has also been introduced as part of emergency measures to address the Coronavirus.
So Saturday night will see the town centre free from pub-goers - the last pints having been downed in local bars ahead of 10pm on Wednesday.
Brigg Market will be open tomorrow (Saturday, November 7) but only "essential items" can be sold.
We called late on Thursday morning - the first day of Lockdown 2 - and although eight metal stalls had been erected in the Market Place, only three were open for business, selling food and provisions.
Many Brigg businesses are now displaying signs explaining why they have had to close, and some indicate they are still trading online or offer contact details that customers can use to place orders or make inquiries.
Having been through the original lockdown put in place in late March, customers and traders know the drill.
Unlike the initial period when people were only permitted one brief period of exercise, this time there appears to be no limit when it comes to walks in the fresh air, as long as social distancing is observed.
We noted on Thursday that many people were using the bench seats on the riverside from the County Bridge towards (and beyond) the rear of the B&M store.
North Lincolnshire Council's public conveniences in Brigg, which had remained closed during the earlier lockdown, were open yesterday - suggesting this will be the case throughout the month.
