Brigg households have been included in a leaflet drop by the Co-op - with money off coupons being offered.
The vouchers give £4 and £3 off when Brigg shoppers spend more than £20 or £15 respectively on food items at the Co-op store on Broughton High Street (pictured above).
"Discover great value on your doorstep" is the message for the renowned retailer.
The Co-op on West Street, Scawby, is not mentioned in this leaflet.
Those Brigg shoppers interested in using their money off coupons at Broughton Co-op will find it at 128 High Street - close to the old Dog & Rat pub (pictured below). The vouchers are valid until November 22. The store opens daily from 7am to 10pm.
Many
Broughton residents, of course, come to shop in Brigg - including folk
who live on the Waters Edge housing estate adjoining the New River
Ancholme, which marks the boundary between the parishes.
Brigg had its own Co-op store, on Glebe Road, for some years, but since its closure the company has so far chosen not to open a modern replacement in our town.
That's despite Co-op outlets being established in recent years in many North Lincolnshire villages and small towns, stretching from the Isle of Axholme in the west to Ulceby and Goxhill in the east. To the south of Brigg, there are Co-op outlets in Kirton Lindsey and Hibaldstow; to the north, there are stores in Barton and Winterton.
Another Co-op is planned in Barnetby - near the railway underpass in the centre of the village.
