INTERNET COVERAGE & TREES IN BRIGG'S CENTRAL SQUARE AREA
Following Brigg Blog's recent post, North Lincolnshire Council has supplied further information, saying that it has been working for some time to try and resolve 'Poor broadband due to overgrown trees' in the Central Square area of the town, after local concerns had been raised. It says the local MP is also aware of the situation.
The council says it informed a local resident that the authority does not not carry out work on trees "due to phone lines" as telephone providers "are the statutory undertakers and they have the duty to ensure clearance of lines and will undertake works on any tree (private or council owned) if they consider that it is needed."
In our original post on November 10, Brigg Blog said the council was looking to arrange a site visit to this area to view the trees.
