SIGNIFICANT PUBLIC INTEREST' IN BRIGG PROPOSAL, COUNCIL SAYS

On the grounds of 'significant public interest' a property-related Brigg development is to be considered by a North Lincolnshire Council committee next week.
Elected councillors drawn from across the district who serve on the Planning Committee will discuss proposals to add to a property on the Springbank housing estate.
The majority of domestic planning applications these days are delegated to senior planning staff to decide. But this one has been placed before the committee because of 'significant public interest'.
Planning permission is being sought to remove a garage to the rear, erect a garage to the side and replace a conservatory with a single-storey rear extension at 2 Atkinson Avenue.

This property is near South View Avenue and Woodbine Park. Consulted as part of the planning process, Brigg Town Council supports the proposal.
This domestic application will now be decided by the North Lincolnshire authority's Planning Committee when it holds a 'virtual' meeting using the internet on Wednesday, October 21, from 2pm. The committee is chaired by Coun Nigel Sherwood (Brigg & Wolds).
Also to be considered as part of a lengthy agenda are the following applications of local interest:
WRAWBY: Erect a dwelling, including demolition of existing garage, to the rear of Milkwood, Melton Road.
HIBALDSTOW: Erect a two-storey side and rear extension at 87 Redbourne Road.
