APPROVED: REVISED PLAN TO BUILD 66 NEW HOMES IN BRIGG

Brigg is on course to get 66 new homes with garages near the A18 - following a planning decision just taken by North Lincolnshire Council.
Permission for housing development on the former Falcon Cycles site, off Bridge Street, was granted three years ago.
However, Keigar Homes Ltd submitted a further application in Spring this year, seeking approval to amend house types and realign the estate road. These changes have now been approved.
A delegated assessment report prepared by council planning staff said: "The revised house types are not considered to be out of keeping with the character and appearance of the street scene and will not result in loss of residential amenity between each of the proposed dwellings.
"In terms of the revisions to the highway layout, these principally consist of the straightening of the access road into the site from Bridge Street, the removal of a parking area to the north of plots 2-5 (formerly plots 1-4) and greater overall parking provision; this has been considered by highways and no objections have been raised to these revisions."
In granting permission on October 1, the council stipulated: "The development must be begun before 24 August 2021."
