Brigg Library - housed in the Market Place's Angel building - is to reopen earlier than expected.
Having been closed to the public for months due to refurbishment work on the Angel building which was followed by the Coronavirus emergency, the library started to offer a very limited service a few weeks ago and was not due to fully reopen until next Monday.
However, this has now been brought forward to tomorrow (Friday, October 23).
North Lincolnshire Council said: "The library has been open for Ready Reads and book returns at the door only, with staff on hand at the new entrance on the Market Place to assist and answer customers’ queries, since the beginning of the month.
"From this Friday, the opening hours will increase to 9am to 4pm, Monday-Friday, and there will be a wider range of services available, such as information, advice and guidance, browsing in the library, and public computer access.
"There is a brand new woodland-themed children’s library on the second floor, with lift access, and there is also a Changing Places toilet and baby changing facilities in the building.
"Customers will have the option to use our new North Lincolnshire Libraries smartphone app in the library to issue and discharge their loans. Search for North Lincolnshire Libraries in the App Store or Google Play Store."

On Tuesday this week, work began to install digital display screens and new signs at the rear of the Angel building - also part of the refurbishment programme being undertaken by North Lincolnshire Council.
One of the displays was active and seemingly under test when we took this picture (seen above) on Wednesday afternoon; the other appeared to be awaiting connection.
