CALL FOR MORE PLAY EQUIPMENT AT BRIGG PARK

Brigg Town Council is to discuss a suggestion to provide more play equipment for one of our local parks.
The Davy Memorial Playing Field between Bigby Road and Kings Avenue recently received a new slide paid for by North Lincolnshire Council which manages the park. And Coun Carl Sherwood told the Town Council's latest meeting that the North Lincolnshire authority was also looking into providing a replacement set of football goalposts.
However, Coun Ann Eardley suggested the Davy field was lacking in play equipment when compared with some other parks in the town.
Coun Nigel Sherwood who, like his brother Carl is a member of the North Lincolnshire authority, then asked whether the Town Council would be willing to fund some additions.
The issue is now expected to appear on the agenda at a future meeting for detailed discussion ahead of a decision being taken.
