SAFETY ALERT FOR BRIGG DOG WALKERS

Here's a safety warning for Brigg dog walkers who use a popular public footpath in the town.
A local pet which took a cooling dip in a stream at the weekend emerged with a badly cut rear paw, possibly caused by jagged glass on the bed of the water course.
This required a trip to the vet and an operation to stitch up the damage.
So we recommend that dog walkers should keep their pets on leads and away from the stream near the wooden bridge on the walk from Churchill Avenue towards Wrawby.
Sadly, litter of various kinds, including bottles and cans, is discarded alongside various public footpaths in Brigg, despite bins being evident at some locations, including close to Churchill Avenue on the path to Wrawby.
