GREAT WEEKEND AHEAD IN BRIGG WITH LIVE MUSIC, MARKETS & FOOTBALL


Brigg will have plenty on offer for shoppers, pub-goers, fans of live music and sports this weekend.
Tonight (Friday, September 10) there are two free-to-attend events featuring well-known local band The Dirty Pitchers and The Dreams at two town centre pubs. View details here...
On Saturday morning, pop along to the antiques & craft market, whose stalls will operate alongside those of the traditional Saturday general market. Details here...
Tomorrow afternoon there's an opportunity to watch football matches at Brigg Town FC's EC Surfacing Stadium (Hawthorns) and nearby Brigg Recreation Ground. Full details here...
Cricket lovers can follow the promotion-chasing Broughton club's progress in a vital home game on the final Saturday of the season, starting at 1pm.
Saturday evening (September 11) sees a Last Night of the Proms event at the Black Bull, on Wrawby Street, with music, games and charity fund-raising from 7pm. Don suitable and impressive attire and you might win a prize!
Brigg Servicemen's Club, on Coney Court, has Skaburst-UK performing ska and two-tone music hits from 8.30pm on Saturday. Everyone is welcome, officials say. and there's no charge to enjoy this show.
Saturday night disco music always proves popular at the Dying Gladiator, on Bigby Street, where many customers take to the dance floor.
