BRIGG SHOP SCHEME PLANS TO INCREASE USABLE RETAIL SPACE

A new shop front is planned in Brigg town centre, involving a listed building within the Conservation Area.
North Lincolnshire Council is now considering a planning application for 64 Wrawby Street and another seeking listed building consent.
A statement submitted in support of the proposed scheme says it can provide a positive contribution to the townscape, and that it is "a sensitive design in keeping with shops surrounding Wrawby Street."
The proposal is to provide a new shop front, together with timber windows.
The scheme would make more efficient use of the shop by providing an increase in usable retail space, the statement adds.
Brigg Town Council will be consulted as part of the planning process, prior to North Lincolnshire Council deciding the application.
