Brigg Blog has now received further details about a forthcoming environment day which we are sure will interest many people in our town and surrounding communities.
The WI (Women's Institute) Federation for Lincolnshire and Humberside has been in touch about its event at Scawby Village Hall on Friday, September 24, from 10am to 3pm (doors open 9.30am).
Jacky Johnson, on behalf of the WI, says: "There is an optional dress code where you can dress for £10 from a charity shop."
Lunch and refreshments will be available to members, and the cost of attending the event is £16 for WI members and £19 for non-members.
Jacki says the speakers will be looking at "all things climate-friendly" including electric cars and how to produce less waste.
"Please join us for an exciting day," she tells Brigg Blog's followers.
Those interested can find out more by contacting Gill at the Federation's office at 10 Queen Street, Brigg - call 01652 653641.
