BRIGG TOWN FC IN FA VASE ACTION THIS WEEKEND WITH OTHER GAMES AT THE REC AND BARNETBY


 

There are football matches coming up in Brigg and Barnetby this Saturday (September 25) while Brigg Town FC face a lengthy trip to play a second qualifying round tie in the FA Vase on the other side of the country.
The Zebras' first team and some of their supporters will journey to Prestwich Heys FC, Whitefield, Manchester.
Prestwich play in the North West Counties League Premier Division, while Brigg lead ToolStation Northern Counties East Division One.
Brigg Town have twice won the FA Vase - a well-established national competition. This season it is being sponsored by Buildbase, with a generous prize fund available to competing clubs involved in the various rounds.
Brigg Development are also out of town tomorrow, visiting Keelby United in the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League Premier.
In the EC Surfacing Ltd Scunthorpe & District League on Saturday (September 25) Briggensians entertain Ashby Bowl in round two of the EC Surfacing Ltd Challenge Cup (2.30pm) while Barnetby United host The Butchers Arms in a Division One clash at Silver Street (3pm).
Barnetby United Reserves journey to Messingham United for a Division Two fixture.
Newly-formed Briggensians Reserves have still to start their programme in Division Three.
Brigg Hockey Club have three games scheduled on the all-weather floodlit pitch at Brigg Rec this Saturday.
The Men's 2nd XI will be playing Sheffield Hallam 4ths at 2pm, with the Men's 3rds hosting Hull 5ths at 3.30pm.
Brigg Ladies' 2nds are to meet Appleby-Frodingham 1sts at 12.30.
In Division Three of the Paul Fox Scunthorpe Sunday Football League on September 26, Brigg's Black Bull team will be visiting Winterton Rovers. Barnetby's Sunday side journey to Scunthorpe to take on Crosby (both games kicking off at 10.30am).
