NEW ROLE FOR PUB MANAGER FROM BRIGG AREA

Well-known within the licensed trade in the Brigg area, Julie Frankish now has a new role more than 20 miles away.
Julie, who still lives locally, is managing the New Inn at North Thoresby - a village between Grimsby and Louth.
She has been running the hostelry on behalf of proprietors Malc and Lorraine for a couple of months.
Julie was on the bar staff of the Black Bull in Brigg for some years and later managed a hostelry in Barnetby.
The New Inn at North Thoresby is a very nice pub & restaurant which serves a wide range of meals, and there is also a fish and chip shop at the back.
We paid a recent visit to the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway, arrived at North Thoresby station and decided to visit the village pub, where Julie spotted us and came over for a chat about old times. We gather that some other people from Brigg have also called in.
Years ago when Brigg Town Cricket Club was in the same Lincolnshire League division as the North Thoresby team, this pub was where we went for an after-match drink with our hosts.
