BRIGG SESSIONS OFFERING SUPPORT TO LOCAL ARMED FORCES VETS AND FAMILIES

Regular drop-in sessions for those connected with the Forces, including veterans, are coming up in Brigg. Expert advice and support will be available.

FROM NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL

As part of North Lincolnshire Council’s commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, drop-in sessions are being held at community hubs to offer advice and support for all members of the Armed Forces – past, present and family members.
The council’s Armed Forces Covenant Officer, Paula Siddall, will be on hand at the sessions to have a chat or help with any queries or issues.
Paula can help with everything from housing, welfare and health to employment and training, putting you in touch with the right people who can provide the support you need.
The sessions are running from September to December, from 9am to 12pm, at:
Crowle Community Hub on 24 September, 22 October, 26 November and 17 December
Ashby Community Hub on 1 October, 5 November and 3 December
The Angel, Market Place, Brigg, on 8 October, 12 November and 10 December (all Fridays)
Any organisations or charities working with the Armed Forces can attend the drop-in sessions to find out more details about partnership working.
Throughout the pandemic, Paula has been supporting the Armed Forces community over the telephone and via video calls.
If you are unable to attend a drop-in session, but would like to access support, call Paula on 01724 296045 or email armed.forces@northlincs.gov.uk

Cllr Elaine Marper, Armed Forces Champion for North Lincolnshire Council, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to extend our support for the Armed Forces community even further. The drop-in sessions are an opportunity for people who have served in the Armed Forces, are currently serving or are family members to find out what support is available and get help with queries – no matter how big or small.”
