10 BRIGG HOUSING APPLICATIONS HOPING TO GET THE GO-AHEAD

Plans submitted to North Lincolnshire Council seeking permission to build many new homes in Brigg and also to extend a number of existing domestic properties are currently awaiting decisions from the local authority.
Administering a wide area from Haxey to Killingholme and from Barton to Redbourne (in addition to Scunthorpe and Ashby) the council has a host of applications to consider in addition to those made for Brigg.
However, below are those in our town that are still on the pending list - awaiting decisions from planners. We've listed them in 'valid date' order...
Collectively, they add up to a great deal of potential investment and work for those in the building trade as well as suppliers of materials.

August 11: Erect 2-storey side extension, 17 South View Avenue.
July 27: Erect first-floor extension above existing garage to provide additional accommodation, 11 Poppyfield Way.
July 6: Outline application to erect one 3-storey flat with parking facility on the ground floor, land at the end of West Terrace.
July 5: Erect a detached dwelling - land adjacent to Lyng Place, off Cadney Road.
June 22: Erect a two-storey side extension, 2 Birch Avenue.
January 22: Erect 2 dwellings, 2 two-storey apartments with new undercroft access, landscape parking; single-storey extension to retail shop with store and amended loading bay; demolition of redundant and abandoned yard buildings, 15 Bridge Street.

2020

December 11: Outline application for residential development, car sales & storage area, Engine Street.
December 10: Erect a replacement dwelling, land off Mill Lane.
August 27: Outline application to erect 70 dwellings, Keyo Agricultural Services, Island Carr Road.

Pictured above are two of the sites proposed for development - 15 Bridge Street behind the carpet & flooring business, and land adjoining Lyng Place. Decisions are awaited from North Lincolnshire Council planners in both cases.
