PLENTY TO INTEREST BRIGG SHOPPERS AT SATURDAY'S LINCOLNSHIRE MARKET

There was a wide range of goods to interest shoppers who visited the special Lincolnshire Market held in Brigg Market Place and Wrawby Street yesterday (Saturday, October 2).
As Lincolnshire Day was on Friday, the Oxfam Book Shop set out its stall in front of the premises yesterday to showcase donated local history books about the county, including one of the Brigg titles by John and Valerie Holland, while the Wrawby Windmill Society had a fundraising stall in the middle of the Market Place. Among the craft traders located nearby was Sue Hawkmoon, from Brigg (pictured above).
Jaylaurs, the Wrawby Street haberdashery shop, had a pavement stall outside, with Sweet Memories doing likewise on the opposite side of Wrawby Street.

There were also some impressive paintings of Brigg on offer at another stall, including a side-on view of the White Hart pub.
Many people stopped to watch the line dancing outside Shipley's CuriosiTeas on the corner of Cross Street.
Perhaps the 1940s music helped to put them In the Mood for refreshments or shopping!
The Lincolnshire Market incorporated the familiar Saturday general market stalls and the Grimsby fish van near the Buttercross.
This event followed hot on the heels of Friday's Food Fest, with many local people opting to visit both.
Lincolnshire Day turned into Lincolnshire Weekend in Brigg!
