The holders made it through to the last 8 of the Challenge Cup with a solid display against division 3 Glenny’s at Silver Street.
Captain Joe Scott opened the scoring on 8 minutes when a huge clearance from keeper Joel Jackson found him on the edge of Glenny’s box, he brought it down and rolled it home to put Barnetby 1-0 up.
Glenny’s though weren’t here to make the numbers up and came into the game. They equalised in the 17th minute when an unchallenged cross was diverted into his own net by the unfortunate Lloyd.
Stung into a response Barnetby hit back and following a rampaging run from centre half Andy Bradley down the left, the recycled ball was parried by the Glenny’s keeper into the path of veteran Bradley who had remained in the attack to make it 2-1 after 28 minutes.
Barnetby spurned more chances while looking a little shaky at the back and went into half time at 2-1.
Less than a minute into the 2nd half a trademark O’Callaghan left footer made it 3-1, his 10th of the season.
Greaves replaced Watson and his inviting centre from a left wing free kick on 57 minutes was nodded home by Captain Scott for his 2nd and Barnetby’s 4th.
Steve Jordan replaced Oliver Lloyd, moving into the back line alongside Dawson and Stothard and joining up on the pitch with his nephew Liam Jordan, who was having an outstanding game alongside Ben Popple in the heart of Barnetby’s midfield.
Glenny’s were still full of fight, and while their keeper pulled off a string of saves, their right back turned in a cultured and combative performance too.
Ryan Jordan repalced Robbie Wray to make it 3 Jordans on the pitch and was a constant threat down the right.
Danny Vannet, on as a sub for Scott rolled in his 1st goal for Barnetby following outstanding work down the left by O’Callaghan to make it 5-1 on 76 minutes.
O’Callaghan, again down the left caused Glenny’s problems  and when brought down in the area a penalty was the only outcome.
Dan Greaves duly dispatched the kick to make it 6-1 on 84 minutes to send the Railwaymen through.

Brigg Town Development visited Louth and lost 4-1 in the Balcan Lighting Supplies Lincolnshire League Premier.
Briggensians first team and Barnetby Reserves were without league fixtures yesterday.
